From circle time to senior seminars, Sion is a place where students’ ideas matter - and where learning how to use their voice is part of growing up.

From their first days in Grade School, students learn how to listen well, disagree kindly and share what they really think. By the time they reach High School, that foundation grows into confident leadership. Students are taught to advocate for themselves, which is a critical life skill that will serve them well beyond their time at Sion.

The all-girls High School fine tunes that experience to specifically empower girls to find their voice, be comfortable speaking up and learning to dialogue difficult issues respectfully. These skills are a critical foundation in preparing students for success in a religiously and culturally diverse world.

Beyond academics, Sion focuses on developing strong relationships and life skills that make it easier to navigate transitions and challenges. Students enjoy a wide range of experiences that teach them to evaluate the world around them and form their own opinions. Our belief in the transformative power of learning is rooted in the unique charism of the Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Sion. In 1843, the sisters established schools open to all levels of society and all religions. At the time, this openness was unprecedented for Catholic education and transformed the way students learned about their place in history and the world.
