| What Should I Bring? |
Every week, all students should plan to bring:
Each student will receive a snack every day of camp and a camp t-shirt on their first day. Campers are encouraged to wear their shirts as often as they’d like to show their excitement for being at Summer At Sion, but will be asked to wear them specifically on T-shirt Tuesdays for camp photos. If your student has a food-related allergy or sensitivity, we encourage those campers to plan to bring their own snacks with them each day to avoid any potential cross-contamination with what we plan to offer week-to-week. |
Currently Enrolled Sion Student Camps
For rising 9th graders and students currently enrolled at Notre Dame de Sion High School, we offer both academic readiness camps to assist with honing skills for the next chapter, and athletic camps with our high school coaches. | High School Bridge Program |
| Notre Dame de Sion has provided an exemplary academic program to young women in the Kansas City area for over 110 years! We are thrilled to welcome the Class of 2030 to be part of this tradition. To ensure a smooth academic transition from middle school to high school, Sion offers the High School Bridge Program. This program is designed to equip incoming 9th graders with the tools they need to navigate a new academic environment and familiarize themselves with the rigor of the Sion curriculum. |
| English |
| In the English course, students will complete one of the required summer reading novels and practice responding to literature through structured writing. At the conclusion of the session, parents will receive a written evaluation to support continued growth in the coming academic year. |
| Pre-Algebra |
The Pre-Algebra course prepares students for success in Algebra I by strengthening essential math foundations and building confidence. The course emphasizes problem-solving, mathematical reasoning and making connections between concepts so students are ready for the pace and expectations of Algebra I in the fall. Students who successfully complete the course with passing grades will enter Algebra I with the skills needed to thrive. Students who do not successfully complete the course will continue to receive support through weekly Math Lab sessions; working individually or in small groups with support from our math teachers until the required skills are mastered. Attendance is important. Students are allowed to miss no more than two class periods. Students must be part of the incoming Sion High School 9th grade to enroll.

| Summer DIVA Class |
Dimensions in Visual Art (DIVA) is a class for the beginning high school art student. Students will use a variety of materials and be guided in expression, creativity, and refining problem-solving skills to increase visual vocabulary and individual style. This course is open to any student in grades 7-12. Students who are entering the 7th or 8th grade in 2026 and who are interested in attending Sion High School may also enroll.

| College Essay Writing Clinic |

Take time to hone your “voice” through the writing process and receive constructive feedback on your essay; reflect on “fit” in the college search process, and gain valuable information on the college app/admission process. By the end of the class, students will have:
Sessions are limited and spots are given on a first-come basis. Priority is given to students currently enrolled at Sion, but students from other schools may apply.
