| Choosing a High School 101: September 9, 2026 |
This event is exclusively for parents with daughters in 5th through 8th grade. At this event we will explore the process of choosing a private high school. You will hear from administration, admission and current parents as they share helpful tips for choosing the high school that is right for your daughter and your family! |
| Fall Dance Team Clinic: September 13, 2026 |
Calling all girls grades K-8! Come dance with the national champion Sion Dance Team! Play games, practice technique, and learn a dance routine with the team. All clinic attendees are then invited to perform the routine at the Sion Varsity volleyball game on Thursday, September 17th (6pm). All attendees will receive dance instruction, snacks, a clinic t-shirt and free game admission for dancer and one parent. Please complete a separate form for each child (if applicable). | Volleyball Tailgate at NDS High School! September 17, 2026 |
All ages are welcome to tailgate with us as Sion takes on Pembroke Hill in volleyball the evening of September 17th! Beginning at 5:00 pm, join us for food, pre-game activities and meet our mascot Stormy! JV game begins at 5:30 pm, the Varsity begins at 6:30 pm, and our award winning dance team will perform in between games. It's a night you won't want to miss the feel the Sion spirit! |
| Sion Storm Dance Team Tailgate at Rockhurst High School: September 25, 2026 |
Stop by our Sion tailgate tent (on the corner right before the decent to the field) before the Rockhurst Friday night football game to chat with our Admissions director, and mingle with Sion students and dance team families! This is fun, casual night to learn about Sion, meet new people, and snag some free Sion swag. No RSVP needed. |
| Shadow Days: October & November 2026 |
8th grade girls will be paired with a current Sion student to experience a typical day for a Sion girl! This is one of the best ways to experience life at Sion. Shadow Days will be offered on select Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays in October and November. The Shadow Day will run 9:00 am - 2:45 pm. |
| Open House: October 11, 2026 |
Sion will be hosting an Open House on Sunday, October 11, 2026 for 6th through 8th grade families. Our Open House is a great opportunity for parents and students to explore the school together. You’ll join a teacher and student ambassador duo for a guided tour through Sion with mini presentations from Sion leaders and students to learn more about the Sion experience. The tours begin every half hour and we ask that you sign up for a timeslot in advance. We can't wait to meet you! |
| Inside Sion Night: October 22, 2026 & November 17, 2026 |
7th and 8th grade students and families are invited to hear from current students, parents, and faculty with an “inside” look at Notre Dame de Sion. Hear their perspectives on what makes Sion such a supportive and fun environment to grow and learn - followed by a casual and personable Q&A!

| Placement Test Prep Course (Optional): November 14, 2026 |
8th grade students interested in attending Sion are invited to join our optional test prep course. The course, taught by Sion’s incredible faculty, will cover the four content areas of the PreACT 8/9 as well as test taking strategies. The cost of this course is $100 and includes lunch. Registration fee is non-refundable after Wednesday, 11/11.

| High School Placement Test: December 5, 2026 |
Registered students interested in attending Sion will take the PreACT 8/9. If your daughter needs accommodations during testing, please email our Admissions Director, Katie Glatz (kglatz@ndsion.edu), with a current 504 or learning plan in order to register for extended test time.
