Welcome to Notre Dame de Sion Schools!
The Sion community is an incredible blessing. As an alumna, staff member, and parent, I couldn’t be more humbled and proud to be a part of the loving group of people that make Notre Dame de Sion the special place that it is.
Oftentimes, when people ask me what sets Sion apart, more often than not, I end up talking about our community. We are a community that holds one another tight when unexpected loss finds its way into our lives, we are the same community that celebrates the big and little wins, we are a community that welcomes new families, staff, and faculty, and we rally to support one another.
There have been moments when I look around and know with great certainty that Sion is a special place. A glimpse of the playground, all-school Mass, Grandfriend's Day, Kairos, a memorial walk, reunions, and so much more. When the Sion community gathers together to show up and support one another, we are strong.
I am confident that the best is ahead for Sion because of the people that make up our community - our faculty, staff, students, families, alumni, and supporters near and far.
We have been recognized as Kansas City Star’s Best Private School, we were voted #1 Best Catholic High School in the Kansas City Area by Niche.com, and we are poised to have more students enrolled in both campuses in the upcoming school year than we’ve seen in over ten years.
From investing in our faculty, to improving facilities, and developing new experiential learning and whole-child education programs, our momentum over the past several years has positioned us to be leaders and innovators. As we continue to grow and evolve, we maintain our unwavering commitment to our culture, traditions, community and mission.
Founded in 1912, Notre Dame de Sion has been a pillar of academic excellence and spiritual growth for over 110 years. Our commitment to preparing students for a lifetime of success remains unwavering, rooted in our Catholic faith and the tradition of the Congregation of Our Lady of Sion.
We’re dedicated to fostering a community where every student feels welcomed and empowered to thrive in an ever-changing and diverse world. Grounded in our Catholic values, we seek to provide an education that goes beyond academic excellence, nurturing individuals who can navigate the complexities of our global society.
We endeavor to instill in our graduates a deep sense of responsibility to contribute to the betterment of society. In reflecting God's divine love, we aspire to cultivate individuals who actively promote justice, peace, and love, becoming beacons of light in the world.
As we embrace the future, we are confident that these guiding principles will inspire our students to lead lives filled with purpose, compassion, and a commitment to making a positive difference. We welcome you to discover the Sion difference.
Vive Sion,
