Grade School Admissions Process

We encourage all families interested in learning more about Sion to attend one or several of our Admissions events. Admissions Process

1st-8th Grade

One of the best ways to learn about Sion Grade School is through a tour! Once you submit an inquiry form, you will be able to schedule a personal tour with our Admissions Director. Following the tour, your family can follow the “application checklist” steps and submit your child’s transcript and teacher recommendation. One of the final steps will be to set up a shadow day to experience a “day in the life of a Sion student.” For students applying to 1st through 3rd grade, the shadow experience is typically a half a day, and for students applying to 4th through 8th graders, the shadow experience is a full day.

Kindergarten

Sion hosts Kindergarten “readiness assessments” in December through February prior to the upcoming school year. Assessments are 1:1 with a student and teacher. During the student assessment, parents will have the opportunity to meet with members of our administration to learn more and ask questions.

Now Accepting Applications for the 2027-28 School Year

Our priority application deadline is Sunday, February 1, 2027. Please submit an inquiry form and Tricia Johnson, our Admissions Director, will contact you for more information and to schedule a tour. Ongoing rolling admissions are subject to availability.

Offers (including financial aid assistance) will be communicated by Friday, February 19, 2027. Offers must be accepted by Friday, March 12, 2027.

Financial Aid

Our goal is to make a Sion education available to talented students from all economic backgrounds. At Notre Dame de Sion, we admit students based on their ability to succeed, not their families’ ability to pay. Sion offers various forms of financial assistance to help make the school affordable. This includes need-based assistance and scholarships. Due to student:teacher ratios, we are not able to offer financial aid for Petite classes. The maximum award for Montessori students is 15% of tuition. Learn more about tuition and affordability.
