Spanish for Heritage Speakers

In our classes designed for heritage-speakers,, the students will develop their reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills in Spanish. Students will study Hispanic culture and history, as well as the political and socio-economic issues facing the Spanish-speaking world. In both classes, the student will grow in the study of grammar and literature of the Spanish language. The student will be expected to participate orally through discussions, oral presentations, demonstrations, speeches and student lectures. The differences between formal and informal language, both oral and written, will be stressed throughout the year.
