High School

Student Life

Attending Notre Dame de Sion High School for Girls is much more than taking classes. Sion offers comprehensive academic and extracurricular programs that ensure development of the whole person - socially, intellectually, physically and spiritually.  The variety of clubs, athletic teams and other activities available provide endless opportunities for a Sion girl to become part of a group, discover new and diverse experiences and develop leadership potential.
For example, there are a myriad of opportunities to showcase a student’s creativity in visual, dramatic and musical arts. The Fine Arts curriculum includes: drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, audio and video production, publication layout and design, drama, choir and orchestra. Theatrical productions and other student-directed plays are part of the performing arts program at Sion.
Sion’s top-ranked athletic program encompasses 12 different sports, cheerleading and dance team, and enables students of all grade levels and skills to participate. Nearly sixty percent of students participate in our competitive athletic programs, including many that are involved in multiple sports.

Catch the Sion Spirit

The welcoming spirit of Sion is evident the minute you walk through the doors. There is an immediate sense that you belong to a community that values each person’s gifts and strengths and embraces each other’s differences. This spirit is evident in our students, staff, parents and alumnae. The Sion sisterhood is forged here and continues with the community of graduates whose life-long friendships and support for the school strengthen over the years and across generations.

Sion Tradition

Time honored traditions and activities where young women are empowered to succeed, truly define Sion. From Sion’s unique class ring to the beautiful white gowns worn at graduation, the pride and joy in Sion’s traditions are steeped in a spirit that promotes unity, camaraderie and a lifetime of memories.

Sion Wellness

Wellness is much more than physical health, exercise or nutrition. The theory used by our campus includes 7 dimensions of wellness: social, emotional, spiritual, environmental, occupational, intellectual and physical. From a holistic view, we explore how each one interacts to create a healthy lifestyle.

Sion is dedicated to developing an environment that empowers its students to make healthy choices. From an organic, healthy lunch program to spiritual formation; from our outstanding counseling department to service learning projects, our students learn the importance of a mindful and balanced life.
