Planned Giving or Bequest

• Gifts made through a provision in one’s will naming Notre Dame de Sion High School for Girls as the beneficiary are welcome. You may choose to give a specific amount, asset, or percentage of your estate, the remainder of your estate after bequests to your heirs, or a bequest contingent upon the survival of heirs. The federal estate tax and inheritance tax savings can be substantial.

Make a Gift of Stock or a Wire Transfer

• Gifts of appreciated securities are an excellent way to make a gift to Sion. Donors receive a tax deduction for the full value of the stock on the day it is transferred to Sion, and they avoid taxes on capital gains. Click here for instructions.

Matching Gifts

• Many companies will match charitable contributions made by employees or their spouses and, in some cases, double or triple the value of your gift. Consult with your employer to determine if this is an option. The matching gift must be initiated by you. When Sion receives the paperwork from your employer, the school can verify that your gift was made and complete the necessary documentation.

Life Insurance

• Sion may be named as the owner and sole or shared beneficiary of a life insurance policy. If so, the premiums are tax-deductible to the payee. Prepaid insurance policies are deductible now while you are still living.

In-Kind Gifts

• Gifts-in-kind are needed goods and services rather than a direct financial gift. Please submit an in-kind gift form with your gift.
