  • Athletics

    Students are able to participate in team sports through the Parochial League of Kansas City. Sports include volleyball, basketball and track for students grades 4-8 and cross country for students grades 3-8. Families are to pay athletic fees directly to the Parochial League of Kansas City.
  • Enrichment Program

    Sion also offers an Extended Day Enrichment Program for all students Montessori to 8th grade. After-school classes change quarterly, and some favorites include: robotics, drama, karate, Chinese, yoga, math club, dance, swimming and chess.
  • Extended Day Program

    Sion’s Extended Day Program is available Monday through Friday from 3:30 until 6:00 p.m. During EDP, there is a snack, time for indoor and outdoor play (depending on weather) and a 30-minute quiet study hall time for grades 3-8. All families will choose the annual or 10-month payment plan. A daily rate is offered, depending upon availability, as needed.

  • Tuition Reduction Program

    Employees of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph or the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas will receive a $1,000 tuition discount per family.
  • Scholarships and Financial Aid

    To be considered for financial aid families must submit a financial aid application and documentation through School and Student Services (www.sssbynais.org) by no later than March 1. Final decisions are determined by members of a financial aid committee.
  • Named and Need-Based Scholarships

    Numerous scholarships are awarded each year. To qualify, students are required to submit a financial aid application through School and Student Services (www.sssbynais.org).

Financial Policy

Upon acceptance and receipt of each non-refundable enrollment deposit, the obligation to pay tuition and fees for the full academic year to Notre Dame de Sion Schools of Kansas City is unconditional and after May 1, 2018, no portion of the tuition and/or fees paid or payments received will be refunded or cancelled. On or after May 1, 2018, the obligation to pay the tuition and fees for the full academic year becomes unconditional fourteen (14) calendar days after receipt of enrollment deposit, and no portion of tuition and/or fees paid or payments received will be refunded or cancelled. In the case of unexpected illness or special circumstances, arrangements may be available with the approval of the President and the Associate Head of Finance and Operations.

All tuition and fee payments must be received through Smart Tuition and families can select from a variety of payment plans to meet their needs. For convenience, payments may be made through direct withdrawal from a checking or savings account, by credit
or debit card (additional fees apply), or by mail. Late or failed payments are assessed an additional charge.

Grade cards and/or transcripts will not be released for students of families with tuition and/or fees 60 days past due. Families will not be able to view or print grade cards or transcripts using the On Campus system.

Re-enrollment for the next academic year requires the student's tuition payments to be current, or an approved payment plan to be in place. Admission to classes for each fall semester requires all tuition and fees to have been paid for the prior academic year.
