Marine Science

Marine Science is a project-based online science class blended with actual labs at Sion. Lab topics include bioluminescence, fish behavior, and dissections of shark, squid, skate (sting ray), crab, and starfish. Online exploration involves marine habitats (sandy beach, coral reef, tidal pools, estuaries, etc.), marine mammals, invertebrates, and fish, ocean currents, hurricanes, famous shipwrecks, scuba diving, and marine contributions in medical and genetic research.

Grades: 11, 12

Dates: Online from June 4-29
Meet June 4th for class
Time: Onsite 9:00am-12:00pm for the week of June 18-22
