College Counseling

The department of College Counseling at Notre Dame de Sion High School for Girls provides a four-year, comprehensive, personalized program to prepare students for successful acceptance and matriculation into college. The primary goal of the department is to help each student discover the college or university that is the BEST FIT for her and her family: academically, personally (social, emotional, spiritual) and financially. This is a process that requires introspection, exploration, research, and communication.
Each year 100% of Sion’s seniors receive acceptance to colleges across the nation and abroad. They also earn impressive merit-based scholarship awards, as well as acceptances into top honors and leadership programs at their respective institutions.

College Preparation

The college counseling program is designed to meet the needs of students and families at each stage of the high school experience. Programming is delivered through individual and family meetings, classroom and small group presentations, college rep visits and fairs, and evening workshops. The department also collaborates with the Sion Mothers’ Club college advisory team to provide meaningful programming and support to the parent community.
