Storm Stomp is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament (it’s just for fun, no skills required) and raises money through sponsorships and team registrations. All proceeds go to an endowed scholarship fund for financially qualified students. Currently, eight students each year receive a Storm Stomp scholarship to attend the high school campus.
It all started in 2002, Kathryn Reintjes Ashley ’03 and Sarah Reintjes Kelly ’03 , launched the event as their senior service project. Each year, current high school students apply to serve on the coveted committee to coordinate all aspects of the event, including team logistics, fundraising and event planning.
Storm Stomp is a great way for our current high school girls to support their classmates and get involved right at the start of the school year.
