The campaign “hit the road” in March when Campaign Chair Jeannette Reintjes traveled to Phoenix to meet with Sion alums. A small reception was held at the home of Dianne Selders Hogerty, ’62 in Scottsdale, with all alums in Arizona invited. Those who attended were primarily from the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. However, an alum from the Class of 1955 drove two hours from Sedona to be a part of this reception. Jeannette traveled to Green Valley, AZ to meet with an alum of the Class of 1935, who was very pleased to have someone from Sion visit her.
The purpose of this trip and future trips is to familiarize the alums
with the campaign and hopefully gain their support. Future cultivation
trips are planned for Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago and Washington,
DC. If anyone is interested in hosting one of these events for the
campaign, please contact Celeste Migliazzo Greenlee '78 at 816-942-3282,
Ext. 129 or via email
